While working at Apple, I helped prototype a proof of concept version of what is now called the FaceTime Live Translation. To test this, I had to fork internally the FaceTime app, and utilized the Whisper model to convert audio into text along with a translation. When testing, I had to make a FaceTime call and we spoke in different languages and read the translation to verify it was correct.
