While exploring what could be done by contextual commonsense knowledge, along with Saadia Gabriel from the University of Washington, we developed a system that, given a child's storybook, we could generate contextual commonsense knowledge, and provide questions that could be asked to a child. In addition to generating from a knowledge graph, the questions that we generate are one of 5 types (Completion Recall, Open-Ended, Wh-, Distancing; CROWD). Our results were comparable to a state of the art storybook question generation system, albeit with considerably less data.
