I am currently a Member of Technical Staff at Hypha (Cortex Group), working on Covenant Compliance, one of Hypha’s big bets in portfolio management. It’s an always-on covenant analyst for commercial real estate lenders: it reads loan agreements, extracts financial covenants (thresholds, measurement dates, defined terms) linked back to their source page, tests them against approved financials as borrower reporting arrives, and flags covenants trending toward breach, rolling results up by deal and portfolio with a full audit trail.
I collaborated with designer Sara Duval to iterate on the design of the Covenant Compliance and Tasks experiences: the per-loan compliance view (status, calculated value vs. threshold, cushion, and trend charts) and the task workflow that surfaces missing documents, revisions, and the history behind each request.
I implemented the full-stack solution, from the agents and APIs to the TypeScript/React interfaces analysts use to review agent output, using AI tooling to move quickly from design iteration to shipped product. It’s live with internal users, and we’re now running user tests to validate the work and iterate with external ones.
I also collaborated with Sara on Tasks, the app-wide hub that consolidates all the work in flight across the platform (reviews, checks, and assignments) into a single queue. Tasks are grouped by deal, and each one carries its own comments and a full history of what raised it, so analysts can see what needs attention and why.
